An established advanced manufacturing business is seeking a UHV Cleaning Technician to join its production team in Lower Dicker. This is a practical, detail-focused role preparing precision components, sub-assemblies and vacuum chambers for use in demanding ultra-high-vacuum applications. The UHV Cleaning Technician will clean, visually inspect, package and label manufactured parts in line with defined UHV cleaning specifications. You will also carry out leak checks, use bead-blasting equipment to remove surface deposits and identify any faults before products progress to the next production stage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean piece parts, sub-assemblies, final assemblies and chambers to ultra-high-vacuum standards.
  • Visually inspect components and report faults, damage or quality concerns.
  • Package and label completed parts in accordance with work instructions.
  • Carry out leak checks on vacuum chambers.
  • Use bead-blasting equipment to remove surface deposits and achieve a high-quality finish.
  • Handle abrasive materials and cleaning chemicals safely and correctly.
  • Meet internal and external delivery deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working area.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience within manufacturing, engineering, production, surface preparation or a similar hands-on environment.
  • An understanding of UHV cleaning standards, precision cleaning or contamination-controlled processes is highly desirable.
  • Ability to read and follow written work instructions accurately.
  • Awareness of the safety requirements associated with hazardous chemicals and abrasive materials.
