We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Investigations Engineer to manage the investigation of returned products, oversee internal manufacturing failures, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in fault identification, product assessment, and customer-facing investigations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and manage repairs and returns upon receipt.
- Maintain the returns database, ensuring accuracy and traceability.
- Identify and confirm mechanical and electrical fault types.
- Perform routine assessments for overhauls, including unit strip-downs and microscopic inspections.
- Support investigations into internal product failures using electrical and mechanical test equipment.
- Document overhaul and repair instructions, incorporating EASA Part 145 requirements.
- Produce detailed investigation reports for customers and support 8D responses.
- Participate in the FRACAS process to drive continuous improvement.
- Act as a key customer-facing representative, supporting both onsite and external visits.
- Assist with internal audits and action any identified issues.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Quality Investigations Engineer or similar role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
