Are you an experienced Project Manager who thrives on complex engineering challenges, customer interaction and bringing teams together to deliver results?

This is an exciting opportunity to lead new product introduction, engineering development, product redesign and technology projects within a high-integrity manufacturing environment.

You’ll take ownership from concept through qualification and into production, working with engineering, operations, manufacturing, quality, supply chain and commercial teams to make things happen.

The Role You’ll be the key link between the customer and the internal project team, leading a cross-functional Integrated Project Team (IPT).

You’ll have real ownership of project performance, including scope, schedule, cost, risk, resources and P&L, while working with a talented technical team to overcome challenges and deliver successful programmes.

  • What You’ll Do
  • Lead engineering development and NPI projects from concept through to production.
  • Act as the primary customer contact, providing clear updates on progress, risks, milestones and commercial performance.
  • Build and manage integrated project plans covering engineering, manufacturing, procurement, qualification and customer deliverables.
  • Lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, Operations, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance and Commercial.
  • Manage projects against agreed scope, budget, schedule, resources and quality targets.
  • Drive project governance, including design reviews, phase gates, risk reviews and qualification reviews.
  • Own project risk and opportunity registers and drive effective mitigation plans.
  • Manage customer requirements, scope changes and technical requests.
  • Track costs, forecasts, business cases and project performance.
  • Take ownership of P&L management for assigned projects.
  • Support manufacturing readiness and the transition from development into production.
  • Work with engineering leadership to identify and manage resource requirements.
  • Provide clear reporting to senior leadership on programme performance, financials, risks and opportunities.
  • Drive lessons learned and continuous improvement across future programmes. What You’ll Bring
  • Proven experience managing engineering, product development, NPI or manufacturing projects within a regulated or high-integrity environment.
  • Strong understanding of project scope, scheduling, cost, risk, resources and stakeholder management.
  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent customer-facing and communication skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and experience managing project finances or P&L.
  • A confident leadership style with the ability to bring different teams together and drive decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain effective when managing competing priorities.

Desirable Experience within aerospace, defence, aviation, military or another highly regulated industry would be highly advantageous.

Qualifications such as HNC/HND or a degree in an engineering discipline, together with formal project management training such as APM, PRINCE2 or PMP, would be beneficial.

Experience with structured NPI/stage-gate processes and project management platforms such as Jira, (url removed), Wrike, Zoho Projects or similar would also be useful.

AI & Digital You’ll be encouraged to use AI and digital tools to improve productivity, decision-making, project quality and cost efficiency, while applying sound judgement when evaluating AI-generated outputs.
