We're looking for a Production / Mechanical Engineer to join a pioneering team in Hailsham, East Sussex. This is a unique opportunity to work on the setup, operation, and maintenance of advanced material processing systems used in the manufacture of high-performance metal powders. As a Production / Mechanical Engineer, you'll assist with the setup and operation of atomising equipment, carry out mechanical assembly, and support commissioning both in the UK and overseas. You'll play a key role in building and maintaining complex process plants, ensuring safe and efficient operation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain atomisation equipment for metal powder manufacturing
  • Assist with the mechanical and service assembly of gas, pneumatics, vacuum, and water systems
  • Support commissioning, testing, and calibration of processing systems
  • Carry out planned maintenance and cleaning of high-tech systems
  • Participate in site installations and overseas commissioning projects

What we're looking for:

  • Industrial/manufacturing environment experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and maintenance skills
  • Proactive, safety-conscious, and confident working at heights/in confined spaces
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel globally

Desirable experience:

  • Mechanical assembly background
  • Forklift licence (Counterbalance)
  • Familiarity with PLCs and metal melting processes

Full training will be provided. Candidates must be willing to undergo background screening.
