Salary: £Competitive, apply for details Reports to: Machine Cell Leader TPA Recruit is supporting a specialist precision engineering and manufacturing business in the search for an experienced Manual Turner.

This hands-on role involves producing small metal components using manual lathes and milling machines.

You will work from engineering drawings, machine parts to very close tolerances and complete basic inspection using precision measuring equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate manual lathes and milling machines to manufacture small metal components.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and machine components to the correct specification and close tolerances.
  • Complete basic inspection using verniers, micrometers, bore micrometers and related measuring equipment.
  • Complete production and quality documentation accurately while maintaining high standards of finish, housekeeping and health and safety. Experience Required
  • Previous hands-on experience operating manual lathes and milling machines within a machine shop or precision engineering environment.
  • Good understanding of engineering drawings and proven ability to produce metal components to very close tolerances.
