TPA Recruit is supporting a specialist electronics manufacturer in the recruitment of a Receptionist and Purchasing Administrator. This is a varied office-based role for someone organised, professional and confident supporting reception, administration, HR, facilities and purchasing activity. The Receptionist and Purchasing Administrator will act as the first point of contact for visitors, employees and callers, while also supporting meetings, travel, onboarding, training, internal communications and supplier administration. As the Receptionist and Purchasing Administrator, you will also support day-to-day purchasing activity, including raising and managing purchase orders, checking supplier confirmations, chasing overdue orders and maintaining accurate records. This position would suit someone with previous reception, office administration, purchasing administration or coordination experience who enjoys a busy and varied workload.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the first point of contact for visitors, employees and callers.
  • Manage internal communications, using PowerPoint to create informational slides.
  • Answer and direct telephone calls professionally.
  • Book meeting rooms, refreshments, lunches and business travel arrangements.
  • Support visitor logs, ID passes, contractor access and basic facilities administration.
  • Assist with HR onboarding/offboarding, including PPE, lockers, IT tickets and returned property.
  • Book training courses, raise purchase orders and support internal communications.
  • Provide purchasing administration support, including indirect purchase orders and supplier confirmations.
  • Chase overdue purchase orders and liaise with suppliers to support on-time delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records and support supplier scorecards and internal reporting.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in administration, reception, office support or coordination.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Confident communicator with a friendly and professional approach.
  • Highly organised, accurate and able to manage a varied workload.
  • Proactive approach and willingness to support across different departments.
  • Able to learn new systems quickly and work across multiple platforms.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car due to the site location.
Additional Information

Fully office based due to reception responsibilities. Optional condensed hours are available, with the option to work weekly hours over four days and take Fridays off.
