We are seeking a skilled PLC Programmer to support the design, development, and commissioning of control systems for low-volume, high-value capital equipment. This role involves close collaboration with engineering and production teams, as well as hands-on work at customer sites worldwide.
- Develop, program, and test PLC control systems for bespoke capital equipment
- Support electrical and controls design, including I/O mapping and documentation
- Commission systems in-house and at customer sites, including overseas installations
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues during build, test, and field operation
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to deliver integrated solutions
- Produce and maintain technical documentation (functional specifications, test procedures, user manuals)
- Provide technical support and training to customers and internal teams
Proven experience programming PLCs, strong understanding of industrial automation, control systems, and electrical schematics. Familiarity with fieldbus networks and willingness and ability to travel internationally. Knowledge of safety PLCs and functional safety standards. Experience with commissioning complex capital equipment. Self-motivated and adaptable in a project-driven environment.
