We're working with an established engineering business in East Sussex that is looking for a skilled Manual Turner to join its machine shop. Operating manual lathes and mills Machining small metal components to exact specifications Reading and working from engineering drawings Working to tight tolerances and high-quality finishes Using measuring equipment including verniers, micrometers and bore micrometers Carrying out basic inspection of completed components Completing relevant production documentation Maintaining high standards of quality and health & safety
Proven experience in manual turning and milling Strong ability to read and understand engineering drawings Experience working to high tolerances Good knowledge of precision measuring equipment Excellent attention to detail A strong focus on quality and safe working practices The ability to work both independently and as part of a team Previous experience working within a machine shop environment would be advantageous
