Territory Studio is looking for a proactive and commercially minded Business Development Manager to help drive new business growth across the studio. You’re confident in identifying and engaging new clients, building relationships from the ground up, and spotting opportunities in the market. Comfortable working across creative, commercial and production teams, you bring a strategic mindset alongside a hands‑on approach to outreach and pipeline development. This role is based at our London studio and follows a hybrid working arrangement, with a minimum of 2 days per week on site.

We are a creative specialist with a unique approach to motion design, visual effects, and digital experiences. Drawing on deep expertise in narrative design for film, games, and brands, we blend creativity with technology to deliver compelling work that pushes boundaries. Working across diverse and contrasting briefs, what ties our projects together is a dedication to craft, a passion for storytelling, and a designer’s eye for innovative problem‑solving. What sets us apart is our refined design intelligence, near‑future expertise, and a team of ambitious, focused, and proactive cross‑disciplinary creatives. With growing studios in London, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Vancouver, we work with clients across the entertainment, culture, commercial, and technology sectors. Our success stems from the expertise of our people, and in return, we are committed to putting them first.

This is a key role focused on generating and qualifying new business opportunities, ensuring a strong and consistent pipeline aligned with Territory’s strategic priorities. You will take ownership of the early stages of the business development process – from identifying prospects and leading outreach, through to qualifying opportunities and handing them over for conversion. Working closely with leadership, marketing, and production teams, you’ll help shape how we approach new business, bringing insight, structure, and momentum to our growth efforts.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and target potential clients across key sectors and markets
  • Plan and execute outreach campaigns across channels (e.g. email, LinkedIn, networking)
  • Work with key stakeholders across the Territory Group
  • Build and maintain early‑stage relationships with prospective clients
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads, assessing fit, value, and opportunity
  • Ensure smooth and structured handover of opportunities to internal teams
  • Maintain and manage CRM systems, ensuring accurate and up‑to‑date pipeline tracking
  • Monitor pipeline health and provide visibility on progress and performance
  • Conduct market and competitor research to identify trends and opportunities
  • Track performance metrics and provide insights to support business strategy
  • Line manage and develop a Business Development Executive, supporting their performance and professional growth
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience in a business development or sales role
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
  • Ability to take a data‑informed approach to identifying opportunities, targeting clients, and planning outreach
  • Experience generating leads and managing early‑stage client engagement
  • Ability to develop and execute structured outreach strategies
  • Confidence working with data, tracking performance, and using CRM systems
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Experience within a creative studio, agency, or related industry (nice to have)
