TerreTerre is recruiting for a confident, experienced, knowledgeable, energetic and hands-on floor manager to join our vibrant team. Candidates should be able to demonstrate at least two years experience in similar high-quality settings, have good wine and cocktail knowledge and a passion for communicating these to staff and guests. The Restaurant Manager Role:
- Reporting directly to the Head of Operations you will be responsible for the seamless functioning of the front of house operation of the restaurant.
- Overseeing restaurant set up and briefing the team.
- Manage the floor team on shift to drive sales and develop our teams knowledge and skill.
- Ensure the high-quality guest experience that our diners come back for again and again.
- Focus the team on the quality of service, flawless set ups and closedowns and the cleanliness of the front of house.
- Motivate and train staff through use of sales drives, promotions and incentives.
- Be the point of contact for staff and guests and be a great communicator.
- Liaise with head chef before, during and after service, making sure that customer requests including allergies and intolerances are flagged and actioned.
- Opening and closing of the restaurant.
- With the full support of the existing management team: Training of new staff and topping up the knowledge of existing staff where and when required.
- Have your own input and ideas listened to and implemented where appropriate.
- Availability to work day and evening shifts including weekend work.
Your Skills:
- You should be a hard worker with a passion for excellent customer service, a keen eye for detail and an excellent communicator.
- Have a passion for high standards of service and possess excellent floor and bar skills.
- You should have the sales skills to sell our fabulous products to our guests and help our team to do the same.
- Have previous management experience in a high-quality restaurant operation.
- Have first class customer service skills and be a natural leader.
- Be a problem solver with the ability to delegate, prioritise and work under the pressure of a busy dining room.
- Have a passion for developing talent, both your own and those of the restaurant team.
- Be organised and have good administrative skills.
- Have an interest in wine and cocktails and bring experience of these areas to your work.
- Have a knowledge of GPs and working to wage budgets, ideally experience of beverage ordering and stocktaking.
