The Business Development (BD) Manager will spearhead the search for new customers and partners across the UK, focusing on global money movement. As a hands-on, target-driven professional, you will lead from the front to drive TerraPay’s growth in the region.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Sales and Development: Own, craft, and implement a comprehensive sales and business development strategy for TerraPay in the UK to drive expansion and market penetration.
  • Sales Cycle Management: Oversee the entire sales process—from lead generation and account management to closing deals with C-suite executives.
  • Partnership Development: Build and nurture strategic relationships with fintechs, money remittance companies, and other financial institutions.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with marketing, product, and operations teams to align strategies, drive innovation, and deliver solutions for enterprise customers.
  • Lead Generation and Reporting: Source leads, attend events as appropriate, and provide detailed reports to sales management.
  • CRM Utilisation: Maintain accurate and timely CRM records to track performance, pipeline, and sales activities.
  • Feedback and Strategy Adjustment: Provide actionable insights to the line manager on pipeline status, metrics, and strategic adjustments.
  • Client Retention and Satisfaction: Ensure high levels of client retention, contract health, and overall satisfaction through proactive management and support.
  • Communication Facilitation: Strengthen the connection between customers and TerraPay’s back-office services to streamline communication and resolve issues effectively.
Essential qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in Payments, Fintech, or Financial Services, with hands-on B2B enterprise sales.
  • Direct experience selling to enterprise-grade clients such as major money remittance operators, PSPs, fintechs, and traditional or challenger banks; university degree preferred.
  • CRM savvy: proficiency with CRM tools and data-driven sales processes.
  • Flexibility & Ownership: Adaptable, self-motivated, and able to take full ownership of tasks.
  • Team Spirit: Thrive in a team environment and handle change while working independently.
  • Customer & Market Centric: Strong understanding of customer needs, market dynamics, and industry requirements.
  • Relationship Builder: Skilled at creating and maintaining effective relationships with clients, partners, third parties, and colleagues.
  • Detail-Oriented: Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
