Job Overview
TerraCycle is looking for an Operations Coordinator with an interest in green business, circular economy and recycling. As part of the Operations Department, this offers an opportunity to work within a supportive and fast-paced team at the heart of the business.
As an Operations Coordinator, you will be tasked to process all UK and EU orders purchased outside of our e-commerce stores. This role requires a very detail-oriented and organised individual who has good skills in Excel and enjoys taking ownership in a productive environment. You will report to the Senior Manager, Project, Fulfillment and Operations and will collaborate with different departments.
Primary Responsibilities
- Supporting daily operations by processing UK and EU customers’ orders for a variety of products placed outside of our e-commerce stores, including multi-delivery and bulk orders.
- Processing orders via online uploads and sales trackers.
- Liaising with fulfillment agencies to coordinate deliveries, monitoring service levels and KPI performance.
- Supporting on Zero Waste Box, Zero Waste Bag and supply stock management for all markets.
- Handling administrative onboarding for new operational activities and product launches, ensuring accurate documentation and smooth internal setup.
- Preparing internal reports and external documents, including Freight Deal reporting and Recycling Certificates.
- Creating and issuing order forms to our finance team for monthly invoicing and reconciliation.
- Managing the Zero Waste Mailbox, assigning tasks to various members of the team.
- Main contact for Customer Service with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Supporting the Operations team when needed in improvement projects.
- Providing work cover during manager or colleagues' absence, including accrual management and month-end deadlines.
- Other duties as needed.
Procurement
- Support on sourcing box and warehouse supplies in EU.
Desired Qualifications/Skills
- Proficient IT skills, especially in Excel.
- Experience with SAP is highly desirable.
- Confident using spreadsheets and business systems (e.g., Google Sheets, PowerBI, Wrike).
- Excellent attention to detail, meticulous and precise.
- Proactive, organised, ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Enthusiastic team player with a can-do positive attitude.
- Experience in administration, operations, sales support, or a similar role (preferred but not essential).
