General Responsibilities:
- Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials (e.g., soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel).
- Communicate with project managers, engineering technicians, client representatives, contractor's representatives, and others regarding construction site, project requirements, testing, observation, and inspection results.
- Transport material samples with associated identifying documentation to the laboratory for testing and analysis.
- Tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observations in written and digital reports for daily transmittal to the Terracon Project Manager.
- Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas.
- Assist with scheduling and dispatch of Technicians to project sites as needed.
- Adhere to strict safety standards.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
- Under close supervision, learn and assist with basic testing and observation tasks.
- Provide clear documentation of findings and results.
- Communicate information to the Project Manager and discuss data accuracy for report preparation.
- Submit documentation and communicate results as directed by the Project Manager.
- Maintain assigned equipment.
- Follow safety rules, practices, and report safety concerns to management.
- Maintain quality standards on all projects.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
