Position Overview:

Job Title: Support Assistant (Education Setting)
Location: Robertsbridge, East Sussex
Start Date: ASAP or after October half term
Contract: Full-time, Term-Time Only
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, during school hours

Key Responsibilities of a Support Assistant:

As a Support Assistant, you will:

Provide tailored support to students with a range of needs, including personal care and mobility assistance
Collaborate with teaching staff to maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Deliver 1:1 or small group support throughout the school day
Encourage the development of communication, independence, and emotional wellbeing
Help pupils manage sensory or physical needs as part of their daily routine

Ideal Candidate Profile:

To be successful in the Support Assistant role, you will need:

Experience working in care, education, or a support role (preferred but not essential)
A patient, respectful, and nurturing attitude
A genuine interest in supporting young people with additional needs
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
