Term Time Teachers have teamed up with a SEMH school in Sevenoaks to recruit an experienced and passionate Special Needs Teacher. This is a full time permanent role beginning January 2025. As a Special Needs Teacher, you will create tailored lessons for students with a range of special educational needs. You\’ll work closely with colleagues to build an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment. Key responsibilities as a Special Needs Teacher: Creating and delivering lessons tailored to the unique needs of students with special educational needs. Implementing effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive and structured classroom environment, particularly for students with challenging behaviour. Offering one-on-one or group support for students who require additional assistance, helping them develop academic, social, and emotional skills. Regularly communicating with parents, guardians, and other professionals (eg. therapists) to discuss students\’ progression, challenges, and strategies for improvement. Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.Requirements: Hold QTS Knowledge and understanding of a range of special educational needs. Hold the Right to Work in the UK. Have an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or be happy to apply.
