Contract: 12 month fixed term (full-time / part-time)

At Term Time Teachers, we are seeking a sociology teacher for an excellent co-educational school in Sevenoaks who is experienced, committed and able to teach up to KS5, with a proven history of success. During this role, you will be dedicated to the development and success of the students' learning in sociology and have the ability to create an encouraging learning experience allowing children to reach their full potential. You will contribute actively to the wider school community, collaborating with colleagues to develop innovative ideas, share best practices, and promote a positive, inclusive learning environment. A passion for sociology alongside excellent classroom management and strong communication skills are essential.

Key requirements:
  • Have experience teaching sociology to students up to KS5.
  • Hold a QTS.
  • Have an enhanced DBS on the update system (or willing to apply for one).
  • Strong subject knowledge of the sociology curriculum.
  • Hold the right to work in the UK.
Your responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons up to key stage 5.
  • Prepare students for exams, whilst assessing and monitoring progress.
  • Create a positive learning environment.
  • Keep up to date with subject knowledge.
