Location: East Sussex Salary: £93-£110 per day, depending on experience Contract: Full-time / Long-term / Supply Start: Immediate and ongoing opportunities Academics are working with a number of mainstream primary and secondary schools across East Sussex that have dedicated specialist SEN provisions, and we're looking for enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join their teams. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to develop their SEN experience while working within a supportive school environment. The role You could be supporting pupils with: Autism / ASD Speech and Language Needs Social Communication Needs ADHD Sensory needs Learning difficulties SEMH EHCPs Behavioural and emotional needsDepending on the school, you may work within a small specialist base, supporting pupils individually or in small groups before helping them access wider mainstream activities where appropriate. We're looking for: Previous experience supporting children or young people A genuine interest in SEN A calm and patient approach Excellent communication skills Someone who can build positive relationships Reliability and consistency A willingness to learn and developExperience of ASD, SEN, education, care, youth work or support work would be advantageous.
