Design & Technology Technician - Secondary School - Tunbridge Wells September Start | Full-Time | Long-Term / Permanent Opportunity Are you passionate about Design & Technology and looking for an opportunity to support a thriving secondary school department? We are currently recruiting for a Design & Technology Technician to join a welcoming and well-resourced secondary school in the Tunbridge Wells area, starting in September. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with practical skills, a keen interest in DT, and a desire to support students and teaching staff within a creative learning environment. The Role: Supporting the Design & Technology department with the preparation of materials, equipment, and resources for lessons Ensuring classrooms, workshops, and practical areas are safe, organised, and ready for student use Assisting teachers with practical demonstrations and project preparation Maintaining tools, machinery, and workshop areas to a high standard Supporting students during practical lessons where required Managing stock, ordering materials, and ensuring resources are available for lessonsThe Ideal Candidate: Experience working within a DT, engineering, workshop, or practical environment (school experience is desirable but not essential) Confident using a range of tools, equipment, and materials Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail A proactive and reliable approach with the ability to work independently Someone who enjoys supporting young people and contributing to a positive school environmentThis role would suit a DT Technician, Workshop Technician, Graduate, ex-student of Design & Technology, or someone with relevant practical industry experience looking to move into education.
