How to prepare for a job interview at Term Time Teachers

Know Your EYFS Inside Out

Make sure you have a solid understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Brush up on its principles and learning goals, as you'll likely be asked how you implement these in your practice. Being able to discuss specific examples from your experience will show your depth of knowledge.

Show Your Passion for Child Development

During the interview, let your enthusiasm for supporting children's learning shine through. Share stories that highlight your commitment to fostering a positive environment for children. This will help demonstrate that you're not just qualified, but genuinely care about making a difference in their lives.

Build Rapport with Interviewers

Remember, interviews are a two-way street! Try to build a connection with your interviewers by being friendly and approachable. Ask them questions about their nursery settings and what they value in a Nursery Practitioner. This shows you're interested and can help you stand out.

Prepare for Scenario Questions

Expect to face scenario-based questions that assess your problem-solving skills and ability to handle various situations in a nursery setting. Think of examples from your past experiences where you successfully managed challenges or supported children's needs, and be ready to share those during the interview.
