Contract Type: Long term, 4 days per week, 8:30 - 3:30

Salary: 130 - 200 per day, dependant on experience and qualifications

Job Purpose

At Term Time Teachers, we are looking for an experienced and committed primary SEN Teacher for a SEN school in Bexhill to support pupils with Autism, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and a range of other special educational needs. You will play a key role in helping pupils reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally within a nurturing and structured environment. Your experience in working with diverse and complex needs will enable you to deliver personalised, engaging, and inclusive learning that supports each pupil's progress and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver and create differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEN needs.
  • Provide a structured, consistent, and supportive classroom environment.
  • Assess individual learning needs, track progress, and adjust teaching strategies.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to support holistic development.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs), behaviour support plans, and risk assessments where necessary.
  • Foster strong relationships with pupils, families and carers, offering regular feedback and guidance.

Other Requirements

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Proven experience working with children and young people with SEN needs.
  • Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices and behaviour support strategies.
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS, or willingness to apply for one.
