Job Role and Responsibilities

  • Assist the class teacher in providing tailored learning experiences for students
  • Support students with PMLD through sensory-based and communication-led activities
  • Provide personal care and mobility support where required
  • Behaviour and pastoral support
  • Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with students
  • Practical approach to meet the individual needs of students
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Caring, compassionate, and a good listener
  • Willing to work 1:1 and in small groups with students
  • Ensure safeguarding of students
  • Attend staff meetings and complete appropriate CPD

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Experience is desirable and can be personal or professional; not required
  • Experience supporting primary and secondary aged students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and complex needs
  • Start date ASAP; trial days to ensure role and school fit
  • Excellent on-site training, support and CPD provided to ensure safeguarding
  • Salary: 92.56 per day, Mon-Fri, 08:30 to 15:30, PAYE, term time only
  • No previous experience is required
