Are you experienced in care work and looking for a meaningful, long-term opportunity in education? We're working with a fantastic specialist provision in Eastbourne that supports children and young people with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), including pupils with complex physical needs who require tracheostomy care, PEG feeding, use of walkers, and tailored sensory support.
Due to the nature of the needs, we're particularly keen to hear from people with backgrounds in:
- Care / Healthcare / Support Work
- Adult or child complex needs support
- Personal care or moving & handling experience
Responsibilities
- Supporting students aged 3-16 with physical, sensory, and learning needs
- Providing personal care, manual handling, and medical support (training provided where needed)
- Working alongside teachers, therapists, and other support staff to deliver an individualised curriculum
- Creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
Ideal Candidate
- Has a care/support background (children or adults)
- Confident with physical and personal care needs
- Calm, patient, and enthusiastic
- Open to training and long-term commitment
