Job Role and Responsibilities
- Assist the class teacher in providing tailored learning experiences for students
- Support students with PMLD through sensory-based and communication-led activities
- Provide personal care and mobility support where required
- Behaviour and pastoral support
- Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with students
- Practical approach to meet the individual needs of students
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Caring, compassionate, and a good listener
- Willing to work 1:1 and in small groups with students
- Ensure safeguarding of students
- Attend staff meetings and complete appropriate CPD
Requirements / Qualifications
- Experience is desirable and can be personal or professional; not required
- Experience supporting primary and secondary aged students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and complex needs
- Start date ASAP; trial days to ensure role and school fit
- Excellent on-site training, support and CPD provided to ensure safeguarding
- Salary: 92.56 per day, Mon-Fri, 08:30 to 15:30, PAYE, term time only
- No previous experience is required
