At Academics, we are looking for a Teacher of Physical Education to support with maternity cover from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing PE department within a school renowned for both academic and sporting excellence. The ability to teach Level 3 Health and Social Care would be advantageous but is not essential.

The school has a well-established and ambitious competitive programme, particularly in netball and rugby supported by state of the art facilities. Students are highly motivated, enthusiastic, and actively engaged in both academic and enrichment opportunities, contributing to a vibrant and positive school culture.

The Role:

  • Deliver high-quality Physical Education lessons across Key Stages, including A Level
  • Contribute to an extensive extracurricular sports programme
  • Support competitive school sport, particularly in areas such as netball and rugby

  • Contribute to the wider school community and enrichment provision

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Own a DBS or willing to apply for one
  • A degree in Physical Education or a related subject
  • Ability to teach PE up to A Level
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for sport and physical education
  • Willingness to contribute to extracurricular and competitive sport
  • Ability to teach Level 3 Health and Social Care (desirable)
