A "Good" rated school in the Tunbridge Wells, Kent area is seeking an English Teacher to join on a temporary contract for the rest of this academic year from January 2026. There may be the option of a permanent contract at a later date. English is a popular subject at this school which boasts high attainment and recent GCSE results were an improvement on the prior year.

The English department contains eight teachers. They are looking for an English teacher to come in and integrate with the department straight away and be a specialist in English and ideally be able to teach one of the following subjects to KS3: Media Studies, Drama, History, RE, Philosophy.

Qualifications:

  • Teacher qualification (QTS, QTLS, PGCE)
  • Experience as an English Teacher to KS3 and KS4 pupils. KS5 would be a bonus.
  • A good attitude and a willingness to motivate your students and raise attainment.
  • The school will consider ECTs (Early Career Teachers) for this position.
