Academics are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and committed Primary Teacher to join a welcoming school in Eastbourne from after the October half term. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher looking for a full-time class teaching position for the remainder of the academic year, working within a supportive and friendly primary school.

The Role

As the class teacher, you will take responsibility for the planning, delivery and assessment of engaging lessons, while creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every child can thrive. You will be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Taking responsibility for the progress and development of your class
  • Creating an engaging, inclusive and well-managed classroom
  • Assessing pupils' learning and adapting teaching accordingly
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, parents and the wider school community
  • Contributing to the wider life of the school

The Ideal Candidate

The successful Primary Teacher will:

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Have previous experience teaching within a UK primary school
  • Be confident teaching a primary class independently
  • Have a strong understanding of the National Curriculum
  • Have excellent classroom management skills
  • Be passionate about supporting children's learning and development
  • Be reliable, enthusiastic and committed to achieving the best outcomes for pupils
