We\’re currently recruiting a Care Assistant to support children and young people with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) in a specialist SEN setting based in Eastbourne. The students have complex needs, including tracheostomy care, PEG feeding, use of walkers, and other physical and medical support requirements.
This is a long-term, full-time role and you\’ll be part of a supportive, experienced team working to provide consistent, compassionate care in a school environment.
Ideal for people with experience in:
Personal care (children or adults)
Residential or community care
NHS, HCA, or support worker roles
Complex needs or disability careAbout the Role:
Providing one-to-one and group support for pupils aged 3-16 with complex physical and medical needs
Assisting with personal care, moving & handling, and medical routines (training provided if needed)
Supporting communication, sensory input, and emotional regulation
Working closely with teachers, therapists, and other specialistsYou\’ll Need:
A background in care, support work, or health & social care
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
Willingness to learn and adapt to a school setting
