Are you a compassionate and reliable individual with a background in care or support work? We are currently seeking a Child Care Assistant to join the dedicated team at a specialist SEMH provision in Robertsbridge, East Sussex. This full-time, term-time only role offers an excellent opportunity to make a lasting impact in the lives of young people aged 5-11 who require specialist support due to a range of needs including SEMH, Autism, ADHD, SpLD (Specific Learning Difficulties), and complex behavioural challenges. For the right candidate, there is a strong possibility for the role to become permanent.

About the Role:

As a Child Care Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils with additional needs both in and out of the classroom. You will work closely with the teaching and pastoral teams to provide tailored care, build trusting relationships, and help create a safe and nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing day-to-day support to students with SEMH, Autism, ADHD, and related needs
  • Assisting with emotional regulation, behaviour management, and engagement in activities
  • Supporting students with personal care and routine tasks when necessary

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
