We are looking for a Teaching Assistant seeking a 1:1 role with a child in a school in the Tunbridge Wells/Pembury area. It will be your job to support the student in and out of the classroom. Your main duties will be:

  • Supporting the student with everyday tasks in and out of the classroom i.e. school work and break times.
  • Being a friendly face for the student to trust and feel safe with.
  • Help them to achieve the work set by the Teacher at a pace that works for them.
  • Be a helping hand to the Teacher.
  • Create a secure and trusting relationship with the student to promote their learning.
  • To help and motivate the student and clarify clear instruction within the classroom and set boundaries.

This is a great role for someone looking to make a difference and find a rewarding job role. Children need extra support sometimes and it will be your job to do just that, whilst creating a positive environment for them to learn. You will be planning, preparing and delivering assigned work and learning activities to an individual pupil, whilst assessing and recording their development and progress.
