You will ensure safety, function and reliability while driving cost reductions and applying modern design practices. You’ll stay current with new technologies, investigate customer issues, and contribute to a cross-functional team focused on quality and innovation. Responsibilities

  • Provide engineered solutions for the development of new products and modifications to existing products
  • Resolve root-cause problems and manage the engineering change process
  • Follow group standards across QFD, FMEA, design-for-manufacture, prototypes and field testing
  • Adhere to group engineering standards and IT systems for global engineering data management
  • Ensure products meet safety, function and reliability standards
  • Reduce manufacturing cost through better design and collaboration with production, purchasing and suppliers
  • Investigate and address customer complaints in a timely manner
  • Stay informed on machine component advancements and competitor designs and apply relevant tech to designs

Key requirements

  • Degree educated or equivalent in Engineering
  • 3D CAD modeling with CREO; familiarity with PDM systems
  • Strong mechanical and hydraulic systems knowledge
  • Experience with conveying systems is advantageous
  • Understanding of equipment operating applications and performance expectations
  • Creativity and innovative thinking
  • Good English communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a multi-functional team and meet deadlines
  • Ability to assess workload and select among design options; identify technical and commercial risks
