About the Role
Reporting directly to the Production Manager, the supervisor is responsible for ensuring a smooth flow of production through the manufacturing line to meet the weekly production targets in the most effective manner.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the day to day production to ensure that targets & KPI’s are met and within the required timeframe.
- Ensure product is built to quality standard promoting our Zero Defects culture.
- Lead and attend the daily and weekly production meetings.
- Manage the manufacturing team on a daily basis in terms of labour, work instruction, attendance management and any disciplinary and grievance issues that may arise.
- Lead and drive health & safety within the workplace at all times promoting our Zero Harm culture.
- To promote and maintain compliance to all Health and Safety Regulations.
- Ensure compliance to all general site Rules, Regulations and Policies.
- Ensure flow within work area in accordance with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
- Lead and sustain 5s practices within work area.
- To carry out any other reasonable duties that may be required from time to time.
About you
- Candidates should be qualified to minimum of GCSE level or equivalent.
- Significant production experience gained in a highly pressured manufacturing environment.
- Experience and proven track record of Supervisory and/or people management is essential.
- An understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques is an advantage.
- Computer literate and experience of Oracle/ERP systems.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well as part of the wider operations and manufacturing team.
- Ability to work to and meet strict deadlines and able to adapt to changing priorities & goals.
- Good team player and able to work on own initiative.
