The Global Business Services (GBS) provides transactional processing and accounting services to Terex business segments across six countries: Australia, China, India, Italy, United Kingdom, and United States.
About the Position
Job Title: Financial Accountant β Hybrid working
Reports to: Accounting Manager
Job Type: Full-time
Hours: 37.75 per week β Monday to Thursday 8am β 4.30pm and Friday 8am β 2pm (Hybrid Working)
Location: GBS Lurgan
Position Overview
The GBS Accountant handles general accounting and internal controls, including journal entries, intercompany reconciliations, month-end closing, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. This key role requires strong accounting knowledge, sound judgment, good communication skills, and a drive for standardization. Collaboration with business units and leaders is essential for success.

Responsibilities
- Perform accounting activities such as journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis
- Complete month-end closing, inventory accounting, fixed assets, and bank reconciliations
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Support intercompany accounting and reconciliation
- Conduct cash and FX forecasting
- Respond to internal and external inquiries
- Suggest and implement process improvements
- Ensure compliance with SOX and internal controls
- Prepare government reports and census forms
- Perform other related activities as required
Required Education & Experience
- Qualified Accountant with 3+ years of experience
- ACCA / ACA / CIMA / ICAEW qualification
- Experience with accounting systems (Oracle preferred)
- Experience preparing UK statutory accounts, preferably converting from US GAAP
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
