Overview
In this Management Accountant role, you will oversee cost accounting and manufacturing financial processes within Terex’s UK facility.
You will work closely with the Financial Controller and the finance team to ensure accurate costing, budgeting, and reporting.
The position focuses on cost control, inventory management, and driving cost reduction opportunities in a fast-paced environment.
You will contribute to the monthly close, forecasts, and audits, while supporting business decisions with robust financial insights.

Responsibilities
- Costing of machines including materials, labour and overheads and setting standard costs
- Reviewing machine margins and inventory control including cycle counts and variances
- Manage PPV and material price performance against standards
- Oversee factory overheads, efficiency and reporting
- Participate in annual budgeting and monthly/quarterly forecasts
- Identify and execute cost reduction opportunities
- Prepare month-end financial data for a 4-day close and post journals
- Prepare monthly/quarterly management accounts and narratives
- Support budgeting across departments and mentor budget holders
- Assist in internal SOX self-testing and audits and maintain controls
- Prepare grant claims for R&D and liaise with external providers
- Prepare and sign weekly payroll submissions and subcontractor payments
- Provide management reports on overtime and efficiencies
- Attend meetings requiring financial input and deputise for Financial Controller
- Key requirements
- A third level qualification, preferably in Accounts (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
- Experience in Cost Accountancy within a Manufacturing Environment
- Strong Excel and MS Word skills
- Auditing and internal control experience
- Experience with Oracle desirable
- Strong communication skills (oral and written)
- Interpersonal skills and teamwork
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
