Hours: 39 Hour Week. Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 3:45pm, Friday 7:00am - 1:00pm
Join our team at Terex Omagh and embark on an exciting opportunity as we seek skilled and dedicated individuals to contribute to our Production team. As an assembly fitter at Terex you will gain the skills and knowledge to put together mechanical parts and components to make sub-assemblies or complete our final build Crushers. Our fitter roles offer on the job training with excellent development and career progression opportunities.
What you'll do:
- Follow work instructions and specifications to understand how parts should fit together
- Assemble components such as metal parts, bearings, pipes, or frames
- Use hand and power tools (spanners, torque wrenches, drills, grinder etc.)
- Align and adjust parts to ensure correct fit, movement, and tolerances
- Install fasteners like bolts, screws, rivets, and pins
- Check quality and accuracy of your work
- Test assembled units to make sure they function correctly
- Identify and fix faults or assembly issues
Essential skills and qualities:
- Ability to read and interpret instructions
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures
- Can-do attitude
Desirable skills:
- Experience of fitting hydraulics
- Experience in mechanical fitting
Whilst experience of working in a similar environment would be an advantage, we are willing to accept candidates with transferable skills from other industries such as agriculture, construction, warehouse, manufacturing and car mechanics.
