Reporting to: Production Control Manager

Hours of Work: 39 hours per week

Join our team at Terex Omagh and embark on an exciting opportunity as we seek a skilled and dedicated Lead Manufacturing Systems Engineer to contribute to our Production Control team. Working within the Production Control department, the Lead MSE will be responsible for the development and improvement of existing manufacturing systems, processes, procedures, and equipment in a dynamic manufacturing environment. They will need the ability to project manage small to medium sized projects from initiation to completion. The Lead MSE will oversee the day-to-day activities of a small manufacturing systems team and, along with the Production Control manager, ensure the consistent development, training, and performance management of this team.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Creation and Implementation of Manufacturing Bills of Materials, including Make / Buy Decisions, insourcing & outsourcing projects.
  • Establish / implement containment and root cause fixes to manufacturing issues.
  • Implement Best Practice Standard Work onto the Shop floor (machine shop).
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing principles including 5S & Kanban.
  • Production Support to individual production Departments.
  • Lead & manage the NPPD Process for operations in terms of driving the operations team to meet manufacturing plans, deliverables & Gate reviews, standard hours reviews.
  • Assist the planning team with Clear To Build process to ensure the correct spec of machine is configured.
  • Managing people including performance reviews & career development.

What you'll bring:

  • Demonstration of relevant engineering knowledge gained through on-job experience / third level qualification.
  • Experience leading, training, developing and motivating teams.
  • Competent in use of computers including Microsoft Office.
  • Experience of 3D modelling e.g. CREO & MRP e.g. Oracle would be advantageous.
  • Good English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Good Presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • A Can do attitude and ability to interact with a multi-functional team.
  • Ability to work with others with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
  • Able to assess workload and commit to realistic timelines.
  • Able to prioritise workload and quickly establish critical path activities.
  • Able to investigate root cause of process non-performance.
