What you’ll do:

  • Support in daily production operations, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are achieved.
  • Focus on lean manufacturing, driving continuous improvement, and engaging employees to achieve targets.
  • Support welding team, scheduling workload and materials to ensure targets are met.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all Health and Safety processes and procedures.
  • Maintain a high-quality standard within the production shed at all times.
  • Support the Production Supervisor in their role to deliver, control and manage the day-to-day production of the shed to ensure on-time delivery targets.
  • Liaise with other teams and departments on a daily basis.
  • Apply high standards of 5s.
  • Understand Lean principles & methodology.
  • Any other reasonable duties.

What you will bring:

  • Significant production experience gained in a highly pressured and fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Previous supervisory or people management experience is ideal.
  • Good working knowledge of steel fabrication, machine parts and steel processing.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and take responsibility for making good business decisions when required.
  • Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects at one time.
  • Motivated self-starter with an eye for detail.
  • Ability to drive quality improvements and meet targets.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good IT skills.
