Reporting to: Quality Manager

Job Purpose:

As a senior member of the Ballymoney site Quality team, the jobholder is responsible for ensuring customer quality standards are always met. The role will play an integral part in liaising with and leading the other members of the Quality team to support delivery of high levels of customer satisfaction and achieving high quality standards throughout the factory.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To help develop and implement the quality management strategy in line with business standards.
  • To help develop and maintain systems to establish standards relating to activities and products.
  • To help develop and maintain systems to measure performance against established standards.
  • To monitor performance according to agreed standards and take necessary action to communicate/advise/assist according to performance levels.
  • To help establish and implement necessary communication strategies for the improvement and awareness of quality issues across all departments.
  • To report as necessary on changes in standards (internally and externally initiated) and on performance against standards.
  • To assist with managing department performance against agreed targets through appraisal and review.
  • To liaise with customers and suppliers when required.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience & knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience of manufacturing environments, including fabrication, paint and assembly. Knowledge of hydraulic systems and components is desirable.
  • Track record of people management.
  • Able to demonstrate leadership in both strategic and quality management in a global manufacturing organization.
  • Ability to govern progress to a detailed level and interpret system reports and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Ability to work with suppliers to improve overall levels of quality.
