Job Description:

Join our team at Terex as a Manufacturing Engineer in Ballymoney. This position offers a 4-day workweek, Monday to Thursday (39 hours).

Reporting to the Manufacturing Lead, the successful candidate will focus on developing and improving manufacturing systems, processes, procedures, and equipment to enhance safety, quality, delivery, and cost efficiency.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Plan, coordinate, and implement efficient and cost-effective production methods for manufacturing sub-components and final assemblies.
  2. Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to address manufacturing issues and implement solutions.
  3. Implement best practices on the shop floor to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
  4. Manage Bill of Materials (BOMs) and material flow through Plan For Every Part (PFEP).
  5. Develop ergonomic processes based on Lean Manufacturing principles, including Yamazumi and 5S.
  6. Support production through cross-functional teams.
  7. Participate in new product introductions, design for manufacture reviews, and production launches.

Experience & Qualifications

  1. BEng in Engineering or relevant experience.
  2. Strong knowledge of manufacturing, material management, and industrial engineering.
  3. Proficiency in computer applications.
  4. Effective communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
  5. Good presentation and interpersonal skills.
