You will be based in Glasgow and may be required to support our worldwide operations. The role may require occasional international travel (typically up to 1-week), subject to business requirements. The role involves direct engagement with a wide range of stakeholders, where your contributions will directly impact the success of our business and be at the heart of our innovation. Working at Terasaki is an opportunity to grow your career in a dynamic manufacturing environment while being supported to develop professionally. The role is a permanent, full-time role and your core working hours will be Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 17:00 and Friday 08:00 to 12:30, with flexitime being part of our working hours. This is a role for someone who wants impact — and the freedom to innovate.
In this role, you will:
- Become a trusted technical expert — the person colleagues and customers rely on when precision, clarity, and real engineering insight matter most. You’ll help people understand the power and possibilities of Terasaki’s protection technologies, guiding them through challenges with confidence and care. Every solution you provide strengthens safety, reliability, and trust across industries worldwide.
- Help build and maintain product data management bills of material and configuration modules within our ERP system. Your work ensures accurate, consistent data flow from engineering to production, turning designs into reliable, manufacturable products. By strengthening our data foundations and streamlining processes, you’ll help drive smarter, more efficient operations across Terasaki.
- You’ll play a key role in supporting our production team by helping resolve issues related to product builds, accessory fitting, and final testing. Working closely with production engineering and quality, you’ll ensure every unit is assembled correctly, performs reliably, and meets our high standards before it leaves the factory.
- Attend customer witness testing in the UK and overseas, as required. Your support will reinforce confidence and provide quick technical insight on site.
- Deliver clear, effective training on our low‑voltage products to help customers use our technology safely and confidently.
- You’ll also work alongside internal and external stakeholders to ensure delivery of Terasaki products within timescales, to budget and quality following industry best practice and observing the maximum respect for Health, Safety and the Environment to ensure regulatory and legal compliance. You’ll ensure that all assessment, advice and recommendations are fully documented in accordance with all internal procedures and industry best practice.
What success looks like: In your first 12 months, you’ll embark on a hands‑on learning journey designed to build deep technical confidence and real‑world understanding of Terasaki’s products and customers. You’ll become immersed in the inner workings of our products, supporting production with complex configurations and gaining practical insight into how our solutions are built, tested, and delivered. Time spent alongside our sales managers will give you a front‑line perspective on how our products are installed, commissioned, and relied upon in the field. As you grow, you’ll also develop a strong understanding of Dynamics 365 and see firsthand how technical engineering plays a pivotal role across the business. And this is only the beginning — as you progress, you’ll have opportunities to specialise in advanced product configuration, contribute to continuous product improvement, master tools like AutoCAD, and deepen your expertise through IEC 60947 and 61439 testing. These steps are part of a broader, structured development pathway designed to help you evolve into a highly skilled technical engineer with a unique blend of practical, digital, and design capabilities. Your growth will be supported every step of the way, with space to explore, innovate, and shape the future of our products.
