The role is responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the Data Centre facility, ensuring client MSA & SLA\’s are achieved.

Main Function

  • Data Centre Management:
  • Comply with working methods to ensure all SLA\’s and MSA\’s are achieved.
  • Manage data centre infrastructure to support 99.999% electrical uptime and 99.99% mechanical uptime, ensuring it is maintainable and cost-effective.
  • Compliance:
    • Maintain compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
    • Meet inter-departmental OLA (Operational Level Agreement).
    • Monitor H&S and take corrective actions to meet statutory compliance, SLA\’s, and good business practices.
  • Critical System Management:
    • Manage planned and corrective maintenance to meet customer MSA\’s and SLA\’s.
    • Maintain agreed PUE levels through proper working methods.
    • Report accurately and timely, following agreed formats and quality standards.
  • Data Centre Ethics:
    • Maintain compliance with industry best practices.
    • Enforce and uphold data centre facility standards and cleaning standards.

    Key Performance Areas

    • Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on all building infrastructure systems.
    • Coordinate maintenance of generators, UPSs, chiller plants, air-conditioning, and switchgear services.
    • Maintain Building Management Systems and monitor all equipment.
    • Manage power distribution for all building equipment.
    • Oversee new installations and supervise all building services contractors.
    • Ensure reliability and maintenance of all building equipment and infrastructure.
    • Perform first-line repairs on electrical, plumbing, and other building systems.
    • Respond to logged calls such as power trips, installations, leaks, prioritizing accordingly.
    • Ensure all control works are in place and followed.
    • Conduct building inspections and audits.
    • Keep thorough records of daily activities, equipment status, and operating parameters.
    • Be proactive, helpful, use initiative, and willing to work extended hours.
    • Willing to travel as required.
    • Complete all activities on time.
