The role is responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the Data Centre facility in its entirety, ensuring client MSA & SLA are achieved.

Main Function

  • Data Centre Management:
  • Comply with working methods to ensure all SLA and MSA are achieved.
  • Manage data centre infrastructure to provide a concurrently maintainable, cost-effective system supporting 99.999% electrical uptime and 99.99% mechanical uptime.
  • Compliance:
    • Maintain compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
    • Meet agreed inter-departmental OLA (Operational Level Agreement).
    • Monitor H&S and take corrective actions to meet statutory compliance, SLA, and good business practices.
  • Critical System Management:
    • Ensure planned and corrective maintenance is managed to meet customer MSA and SLA.
    • Maintain agreed PUE levels through proper working methods.
    • Accurately complete and report tasks within agreed formats, quality standards, and timelines.
  • Data Centre Ethics:
    • Maintain compliance with industry best practices.
    • Enforce and maintain data centre facility standards.
    • Enforce and maintain data centre cleaning standards.

    Key Performance Areas

    • Preventative and reactive maintenance of all building infrastructure systems.
    • Coordinate maintenance of generators, UPS, chillers, air conditioning, switchgear, etc.
    • Maintain Building Management Systems and monitor all equipment.
    • Manage power reticulation for all building equipment.
    • Oversee new installations and supervise all building services contractors.
    • Ensure reliability and maintenance of all building equipment and infrastructure.
    • Perform first-line repairs on electrical, plumbing, and other building systems.
    • Respond promptly to building issues logged, such as power trips, leaks, or installations.
    • Ensure all control of works procedures are followed.
    • Conduct building inspections and audits.
    • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, equipment status, and operating parameters.
    • Be proactive, helpful, use initiative, and willing to work extended hours.
    • Willing to travel as required.
    • Complete all activities on time.
