We are looking for a Sales Manager (m/f/d) Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants & Elastomers (CASE) for TER (UK) Limited, based in Cambridge, to drive business development across the UK and Ireland. You will build and manage a strong pipeline of strategic opportunities aligned with the UK commercial strategy, using your technical and commercial expertise to grow the customer base across short-, medium-, and long-term opportunities.

Your responsibilities:

  • Drive the sales of technically complex raw materials within the CASE sectors, taking full ownership of the assigned sales territory.
  • Develop and manage a strong pipeline of new business opportunities to achieve annual sales targets and KPIs.
  • Proactively acquiring new customers while maintaining and expanding existing client relationships through regular visits and ongoing support.
  • Lead and manage sales projects, including supporting customer product development initiatives.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and identify new product opportunities in close collaboration with Product Management.
  • Work closely with internal teams (Sales, Business Development, Product Management, Technical Support, Quality, and Customer Service) to share insights, resolve issues, and optimize commercial strategies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in CRM systems, including pipeline tracking, activity reporting, and sample management.
  • Represent the company at trade fairs, supplier trainings, and industry events, while actively networking with customers and partners.

Your profile:

  • Proven commercial experience (minimum 5 years) in sales within relevant industries, ideally including specialty chemicals in CASE.
  • Solid technical background, preferably in chemistry or a related field; a degree or technical/chemical qualification combined with commercial knowledge is highly desirable.
  • Strong customer focus with demonstrated experience in consultative, technical sales and a genuine enjoyment of advising clients.
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with a high level of initiative and a structured, results-driven working style.
  • Excellent communication skills, combined with a high level of self-motivation and a structured, organized working style.
  • Experience working independently and remotely, with a high degree of personal responsibility.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the UK for customer visits, supplier meetings, and industry events.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and experienced in working with CRM systems; initial SAP and/or Salesforce knowledge is an advantage.
  • Valid UK driving license required.
