Teqniq is searching for a Waste Manager to work in the public sector. 37 hours per week. 3 month contract. 09:00-17:00 Job

Description: Providing technical leadership on waste management, recycling, infrastructure and environmental programmes.

Supporting the implementation and delivery of Cornwall's Waste Resources Strategy and associated delivery plans.

Leading and driving forward complex projects and workstreams to improve service delivery and performance.

Managing and monitoring waste contracts, ensuring compliance, performance and value for money.

Monitoring service performance, customer feedback and key performance indicators, driving continuous improvement.

Managing waste facilities and infrastructure, including waste treatment facilities, transfer arrangements and associated operational assets.

Working with contractors, regulators and stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, permits and environmental standards.

Providing technical advice and guidance to senior managers, Members and colleagues.

Developing business cases, technical reports and recommendations to support decision-making.

Supporting budget management, efficiency initiatives and service improvement opportunities.
