We are supporting a Venture Capital company that acquires and scales global businesses supplying supplying mission-critical products and solutions as they look to identify an M&A Manager to support their CEO.
Opportunity
The M&A Manager will work closely with senior leadership on sourcing and executing M&A transactions.
We are looking to identify somebody from an engineering background, who has an entrepreneurial mindset and can assess and engage potential acquisition targets.
The role offers significant opportunities for professional development, and the CEO is keen to invest significant time in upskilling any ambitious driven candidates and their will be ample opportunities for progression within the group.
Responsibilities
- Support senior leadership in delivering the group's M&A strategy.
- Identify and assess potential acquisition opportunities.
- Build, maintain and develop a pipeline of prospective targets.
- Engage with business owners and develop relationships that support future transactions.
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders during deal processes.
- Conduct financial analysis and modelling.
- Attend industry events and trade exhibitions as a representative of the group.
- Provide support on a variety of strategic and operational projects as required.
Requirements
- Engineering background through university, technical education or vocational training
- 2 to 4 years of professional experience with a demonstrable track record of achieving results.
- Experience engaging with and influencing senior stakeholders, customers and/or business owners.
- Strong interest in industry research and using insights to support commercial and investment decisions.
- Genuine interest in mergers and acquisitions, business growth and financial analysis.
- Basic financial literacy is desirable.
- Strong IT skills; experience using AI tools for research and lead generation is advantageous.
- High standards of integrity, accountability and professionalism.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
