Job Description:
- Technology strategy & consulting to develop and implement IT strategies aligned with business objectives in the utilities sector, including electricity, water, gas, and renewable energy.
- Partner with clients, internal TCS teams, and third-party technology partners on existing projects, new pursuits, and POVs/POCs to achieve accelerated business outcomes in Data and Analytics.
- Collaborate with Business Insights Segments, account teams, and customers to analyze business processes, data ecosystems, technology solutions, data architecture, and data management principles within the utilities sector.
- Develop and implement business & IT strategies that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Create points of view, white papers, and offerings relevant to the utilities sector.
- Assist in selecting, integrating, and deploying data analytics solutions, whether cloud-based or hybrid.
- Design and optimize cloud-based and on-premise Data & Analytics solutions tailored for the utility industry.
- Work closely with stakeholders, including IT teams, business users, and vendors, to drive digital transformation projects.
- Present industry forums or other channels with TCS POVs and thought leadership in the utilities domain.
Technical/Functional Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of the utilities sector, including electricity, water, gas, and renewable energy, to drive digital transformation and innovation.
- Experience in designing and optimizing cloud-based and on-premise data analytics solutions for the energy sector.
- Proficiency in Data Management (Data Governance, Data Quality, Master Data Management), Data Strategy, Data Analytics, ML/AI solutions, and Cloud Data Solutions.
- Knowledge of AI/GenAI solutions and their applications in the energy domain.
Experience Required:
- 15+ years in IT consulting, with significant experience in the utilities sector.
- Proficiency in cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and digital transformation technologies.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity, data analytics, IoT, and AI applications in utilities.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and change management initiatives.
- Hands-on experience in Data Management and Data & Analytics solutions within the utilities domain.
- Knowledge of Data Analytics vendors and technical solutions (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake).
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
