The National Portrait Gallery houses a unique collection of all forms of portraiture of the people who have made or are currently contributing to British history and culture; the collection is the most comprehensive of its kind in the world. With around 2 million visitors each year prior to temporary closure for the Inspiring People project and a strong national and international presence through touring exhibitions and special projects, the Gallery is one of the country’s most important and popular galleries.
This is an exciting time to be joining the National Portrait Gallery as the International Partnerships Manager to support the development and delivery of the International Programme as the Gallery reopens for Inspiring People.
Responsibilities and Qualifications:- Strong marketing and sales skills with experience in negotiating partnerships and contracts.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, managing and negotiating relationships with external stakeholders and collaborating with colleagues across the Gallery to deliver projects.
- Ability to work well under pressure, a creative approach to problem solving and a willingness to travel internationally.
- Strong organisational and scheduling skills with the ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines, whilst ensuring meticulous attention to detail.
