At Tenzing, we’re on a mission to become the best pan-European software and tech investor.

We seek out high-growth European tech and tech-enabled businesses and help build them into international powerhouses.

Tenzing is currently investing out of Fund III (£900m, 2023) which was raised at its hard cap with excess demand. In terms of prior funds:

  • Tenzing II (£400m, 2021), which was the first buyout fund in the world raised through an entirely virtual process, was oversubscribed and closed at its hard cap in nine weeks, with a 120% existing reup rate.
  • The Belay overage fund (£100m, 2021) was raised purely from existings, in four weeks to invest alongside Funds II & III.
  • Tenzing I (£200m, 2017) closed at its hard cap after 12 weeks in the market.

The Role

We’re expanding Tenzing’s Client Services team and are looking for a numerate, people-focused Analyst to help us raise and look after the capital behind everything we do.

Client Services is Tenzing’s investor-facing engine.

It’s a close-knit team that owns our relationships with the investors (LPs) who back our funds - from fundraising and roadshows through to reporting, communications and the day-to-day of keeping our investors up to date.

Fundraising and LP relationships sit directly with Client Services, and this is where the capital that powers Tenzing gets raised and managed.

This is a hands-on role - you’ll learn primarily by doing and shadowing.

You will get real exposure early and take on more as you prove yourself.

It suits someone with a year or two behind them, likely in finance, who wants to build a career in investor relations.

  • The job in two bullets…
  • Provide support across the breadth of the investor relations responsibilities - LP meetings, fundraising materials, AGM and LPAC prep, roadshow preparation, reporting - so the team can move fast and keep our investors close.
  • Be reliable, proactive and consistent in your approach to work, with very high attention to detail and solid numerical capability to build trust amongst your peers and team from day one.
  • What the role looks like day to day…

This is a highly varied role – as well as the typical IR responsibilities (as outlined above) our team also conducts market research and supports with business planning and strategy at the Firm level.

As well as working closely with your Client Services colleagues, you will work on projects in conjunction with the Investment, Finance, Growth and Marketing teams - as well as with the CEO and CIO.

Some of the core parts to the role will be

  • LP relationships and investor meetings
  • Prepare investor meeting notes and summaries.
  • Keep our CRM accurate and current – and keep finding ways to improve the quality and insight we get out of it.
  • Attend LP meetings alongside the senior team, building your knowledge of Tenzing’s investor base and the different types of private markets investors.
  • Fundraising and data room support
  • Support the preparation of fundraising materials – DDQs, presentations and investor documents.
  • Coordinate and administer data rooms, supporting the team through live fundraises.
  • Help keep roadshows running – logistics, scheduling and the many moving parts of a live raise.
  • Investor content and communications
  • Update and maintain our marketing and investor materials.
  • Draft investor notes, summaries and responses to LP queries.
  • Market intelligence and research
  • Support market-mapping and LP and competitor analysis.
  • Research the LP landscape and the wider alternatives market to help inform how we position ourselves.
  • Team and operations
  • Manage your own workload reliably, flag blockers early, and help keep the team coordinated.
  • Bring structure to internal communications and be a dependable teammate in a small, fast-moving team that blends numbers and analysis with investor-facing relationship work.
  • Who we think will thrive in this role…

Experience

  • One to three years’ experience in a relevant or adjacent field.

Backgrounds that translate well include investment banking (M&A or PFG), private equity IR or secondaries, or corporate finance that has a blend of people-facing work.

  • A logical thinker, comfortable analysing commercial and financial information.
  • A natural communicator who enjoys both writing clearly and presenting ideas with confidence.
  • An interest in strategy, technology and the kinds of high-growth businesses Tenzing backs.
  • An AI-native mindset, proficient in using the latest tools to enhance productivity, elevate the quality of your work and to innovate.
  • Behaviours
  • A strong work ethic with the drive to go above and beyond.
  • Very strong attention to detail.
  • A genuine desire to take ownership.
  • A team-first mindset – embracing the small tasks that contribute to high-quality collective outcomes.
  • Warm, personable and quick to build trust.
  • A proactive self-starter who takes the initiative, gets things moving without being asked, and looks for ways to add value beyond the brief.
  • Organised and strategic with their time - plans well, thinks ahead, and balances their own priorities with the team's and the wider goals.
  • Ambitious and eager to learn by doing – our team grows through executing and shadowing.
  • High integrity and discretion when handling sensitive investor information.
  • Location

This role is based in our London office at Heddon House, 149-151 Regent Street, London, W1B 4JD.

  • This role is unlikely for you if…
  • You want a purely numbers-behind-a-screen role - Client Services is investor-facing, and interpersonal skills matter as much as analytical ones.
  • You’re looking for a predictable, evenly paced workload - the rhythm here flexes with fundraising and investor activity, and things move quickly when a project or fundraise is live.
  • You’d prefer a slower-paced, highly structured corporate environment - this is a lean team in an ambitious, fast-growing PE setting where you’ll be hands-on from day one.
