The Partner will lead the growth of the Manchester office, developing new client relationships, expanding the firm’s market presence, and recruiting and building a high-performing team. The role will be heavily business development focused, with significant rewards for those who successfully grow the practice. You will work closely with the wider UK leadership team to develop strategy, win new mandates and build a strong pipeline of work, particularly across private equity, corporate transactions and complex advisory engagements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and build the Manchester office, establishing the firm’s presence and reputation in the regional market.
  • Drive business development and client origination, developing relationships with private equity firms, corporates, founders and advisors.
  • Identify and secure new client opportunities, leading proposals and presentations to prospective clients.
  • Develop and execute a regional growth strategy, identifying key sectors, clients and referral partners.
  • Recruit, mentor and develop a high-quality team of professionals as the practice grows.
  • Lead complex client engagements, ensuring high technical standards and exceptional client service.
  • Collaborate with partners across the firm to identify cross-service opportunities and expand existing client relationships.
  • Represent the firm externally within the professional services, private equity and corporate advisory communities.
Skills & Experience
  • Big 4 background is 100% essential, with strong technical foundations and exposure to complex advisory work.
  • Extensive experience operating at Managing Director or Partner level within a professional services firm.
  • Strong track record of business development and revenue generation.
  • Deep network within the Manchester and wider North West market, ideally including private equity, corporate clients and advisory intermediaries.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ambition to build and scale a practice.
  • Strong leadership and people development capabilities.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to identify new opportunities and develop client relationships.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
