The FP&A Manager role sits within the companies Group FP&A function and supports the delivery of high-quality financial reporting, forecasting and performance analysis. Reporting to the Senior FP&A Manager, the role plays a key part in the monthly forecasting cycle, budget process and ongoing performance reporting, ensuring outputs are accurate, timely and analytically robust. The role supports senior FP&A leadership by providing clear financial analysis, identifying trends, risks and opportunities, and helping translate financial data into actionable insight. This position offers strong exposure to a large, complex international business, £5bil in Rev, with regular interaction across finance and non-finance stakeholders, while maintaining a clear focus on core FP&A disciplines rather than narrative ownership or regional leadership.
Primary Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Supporting the Group’s monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy, consistency and adherence to timelines
- Supporting the annual budget process, including preparation, consolidation and variance analysis
- Producing and reviewing management reporting packs, dashboards and KPI analysis for senior finance stakeholders
- Delivering variance analysis versus budget, forecast and prior periods, with clear explanation of drivers
- Providing financial analysis and insight to support decision-making, highlighting trends, risks and opportunities
- Supporting business partnering across functions, providing financial input and analysis as required
- Maintaining and improving FP&A models, reporting templates and analytical tools
- Supporting continuous improvement of FP&A processes, controls and reporting efficiency
- Managing and developing a small team of 2–3 FP&A analysts, including workload planning, coaching and quality control
Qualifications
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA / ACA / ACCA)
- Strong post-qualification FP&A experience
Experience
- Proven experience in FP&A, management reporting or commercial finance
- Experience working in large, complex or international organisations
- Hands‑on experience with forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis
- Experience managing or mentoring a small team
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong analytical capability with high attention to detail
- Advanced Excel / financial modelling skills
- Solid understanding of management reporting and performance metrics
- Ability to interpret financial data and clearly explain performance drivers
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Comfortable working with senior stakeholders in a structured, data-driven manner
- Desirable to have experience in shared services, group finance or PE-backed environments
- Exposure to systems improvement or reporting automation initiatives
