The Role
We’re looking for a Cloud Engineer to join a small platform team supporting the modernisation of on-prem infrastructure into AWS. You’ll work closely with a senior engineer on day-to-day cloud and infrastructure tasks, helping to support, migrate, and operate hybrid environments. This is a hands-on delivery role, suited to engineers who enjoy working across VMware, AWS, and Kubernetes in real production environments.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting hybrid cloud environments across on-prem and AWS
- Assisting with VMware to AWS migration activities
- Supporting and operating Kubernetes clusters and containerised workloads
- Working with Infrastructure as Code to provision and manage environments
- Troubleshooting issues across cloud, virtual machines, and Linux/Windows systems
- Collaborating with platform, DevOps, and application teams
Experience We’re Looking For
- Hands-on experience with VMware (vSphere / ESXi)
- Experience working with AWS in production environments
- Exposure to VMware to AWS migrations (preferred)
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes (EKS or similar)
- Experience with Linux and Windows systems
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Helm
