We’re looking for a talented and experienced Java Developer to join our rapidly growing team. You’ll work on exciting, high-impact programmes, using modern engineering and architectural principles to design and build innovative solutions for a wide range of clients. Working within mature, cross-functional teams, you’ll help drive digital transformation and shape the future of services across the UK.
What you’ll do:
- Design, develop and maintain high-quality Java applications
- Contribute across the full software development lifecycle
- Build and secure RESTful APIs using Spring Boot / Spring MVC
- Collaborate with engineers, architects and stakeholders
- Support live services and resolve complex production issues
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
What we’re looking for:
- Strong experience with Java (Kotlin/Scala a bonus)
- Solid understanding of OOP, SOLID principles and design patterns
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP)
- A passion for innovation and delivering high-quality solutions
Nice to have:
- Kafka, SQS, Serverless (Lambda)
- Monitoring & logging tools (ELK, Dynatrace, Splunk)
- JPA/Hibernate, Swagger/OpenAPI, automated testing
- Mentoring experience
